ROCHESTER, N.Y. Rochester police are investigating a homicide from overnight at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Iceland Street.

When police arrived on the scene they found a man in his 50s with at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. He was taken to URMC but died shortly after arrival.

Police say the victim was driving south on Jefferson Avenue when his vehicle struck a parked car. It has not been determined if the victim was shot prior to or after the accident.

This is Rochester’s 62nd homicide this year. At this time in 2021, there were 57 homicides in Rochester.
