On Saturday February 25th a Gates Police Officer stopped a vehicle on Chili Avenue for an expired registration and excessive tint. Upon stopping the vehicle the driver was identified as Erich Schultz (30 years old from Rochester NY). While engaged in the traffic stop the officer noticed spent ammo casings on the floor of the vehicle, further the officer located a loaded Glock 10mm handgun. Schultz did not a have a permit to carry.
Schultz was arraigned in Gates Town Court on the Gates Charges and remanded to Monroe County Jail with $7,000 cash / $20,000 bond / $50,000 partially secured bond.
