ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Police Department is delivering a press conference at 1 p.m. on Tuesday about the recent investigation involving Kelvin Vickers, who is charged with three murders.

Vickers is accused of fatally shooting RPD Officer Tony Mazurkiewicz, along with non-fatally shooting Officer Sino Seng and a 15-year-old, during a July 21st ambush. He is also accused of killing two other men in Rochester and wounding a third person the day before the ambush. Court paperwork says he also says he non-fatally shot someone on July 19.

Vickers is from Boston and was released from a Massachusetts maximum security prison less than a month before the murder of Officer Mazurkiewicz.
