Police say 18-year-old shooting victim illegally possessed 'ghost gun Empty Police say 18-year-old shooting victim illegally possessed 'ghost gun

Rochester n.y Police charged an 18-year-old who was shot on Monday night with criminal possession of a weapon. He and a 15-year-old sustained non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting on Rochester's west side.

Both teenagers are being treated at Strong Memorial Hospital. Rochester police said the shooting happened just before 8 p.m. on Vinewood Place, a dead-end street off of Dr. Samuel McCree Way.

RPD said the 18-year-old victim illegally possessed a "ghost gun", a self-assembled firearm made by ordering parts online. WNYSR previously reported statistics on crimes in Rochester that police say were committed using ghost guns.

Police said they were initially responding to a call for shots fired, but as they were headed there, they learned that someone may have been shot.

Police found the 18-year-old victim at the scene with a gunshot wound to the lower body, and just after 8:30 p.m., they were told that a 15-year-old arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital in a privately owned vehicle with at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.

Class E felony Ghost guns are not register guns they have no serial numbers on them.they have been banned in N.Y.S when Cuomo the chomo was in office that's why its a class E Felony in this state.also if you bring a gun from another state you must notify N.Y.S and if you have a concealed weapon permit you also must notify them of that also here in N.Y.S.
