World News: Is anyone else dealing with this?

Just want to see if anyone else is dealing with this:

Nobody believes how serious this whole thing is. Everyone is treating this like the first Gulf War, where people joked about making popcorn and watching the war on TV.

Either people are saying "It's all over there, nothing will happen..." or they are changing their profiles on Facebook to blue-and-yellow and quoting the propaganda lines.

They all don't seem to realize that this is only weeks or days away from escalation.

I am not an alarmist, but a pragmatist. I look at the writing on the wall.

I can't believe the complacency.
